The two rooms we saw were completely different. The king room, in the older building, was disgusting and smelled of smoke. We only ended up here as a last resort, and even our reservation was just sitting on a scrap of paper stuck to the counter. We went back to the office and got a room with two queens in the “new” building. That one seemed clean and smelled fresh. I’d skip this motel, but if you do stay, make sure you’re in the newer building.

A woman was screaming next door all night while my friend and I were staying here. The next day, we saw her attack a man as he was leaving her room. Her arms were bleeding, and she appeared to be high. She had black and red hair and was a white woman. We heard she had been staying there for weeks. If the motel really lets people who need more support stay alongside guests trying to get a good night’s sleep, we won’t be back.

The price wasn’t worth it. The bed was awful, and I woke up with back pain. The cable TV didn’t work, and the room smelled dusty. I was so disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this motel to anyone.

I was unhappy with how the call went. I asked about weekly rates, but the woman on the phone thought I meant monthly and started asking how many people, kids, or pets would be staying. When I mentioned my cat, she said, “no thank you, bye,” and hung up. She sounded Indian or Hindi to me and was extremely rude. I don’t mind foreign people, but I didn’t appreciate the way she spoke to me.

The thermostat in our room was broken, so it got up to 80 degrees. We unplugged it and had the AC blasting all night, lol. Another Christmas in Beaver Dam we won’t forget. ☺️
