We just wrapped up two full days at Eagle Point, with bluebird skies and lovely spring snow, so it was awesome as usual. We make this trip every January and love it. The employees really care about guests having a good experience, and we prefer it to the big resorts. Snow was scarce this year, sadly, but that was the case everywhere. Conditions were honestly better than at the resorts near home in Salt Lake. We’ll be back.

We paid premium prices for Valentine’s Day and came away disappointed. The online listing said lifts closed at 4:30 PM, but the manager told us they might stop as early as 3:30, with no clear notice. Two employees we asked didn’t know either. If they charge full price, they should keep the information current and clear. Snow conditions were also a letdown. They advertised 24 inches of “packed powder,” but we saw thin coverage, with dirt, grass, and bare ground in many spots. Park City Resort had 45 inches and also called it packed powder. When we asked management about the conditions, they blamed “bad western snow” instead of being transparent or updating the report. I’ll try to add photos after we review the footage. The person who said he was the general manager, maybe Tim, though I’m not sure and can’t recall, was dismissive and unhelpful. He showed no interest in feedback or accountability, and the staff seemed poorly trained. The whole experience felt disorganized and misleading for the price. Save your money and go to Brian Head instead.
The ski school is top notch if you’re new, and the learning terrain helps you pick up the basics with support. It’s a great place for a family ski trip, with runs that suit beginners through advanced skiers.
A lovely little ski resort. It’s small, but there’s enough for a really good day on the slopes, and you don’t get the crowds you find elsewhere.
We stopped by in summer while sightseeing and found the bar open. I had a beer and a great chat with Cameron, the bartender, who was lovely and told us about the resort and the area. Another family came in, and although we didn’t eat, their food looked great. We’d come back in a heartbeat.
