Country Inn

This was a horrible place, and I’m extremely angry about the whole experience. They said on the phone that they had one room left and would make it work, then charged me twice the price advertised online. The door looked like it had been kicked in and didn’t secure tightly. We couldn’t get a refund or even move to another room. It didn’t feel safe at all. The rooms weren’t clean, and there were taped-over holes everywhere. Creepy, to say the least. I’ll sleep in my vehicle!

The bed was comfortable, there was hot water, and the room didn’t smell. This isn’t a high-end motel, but it did the job as a place to crash. We were traveling from Wyoming to California, had reached our limit for the day, and were dog tired. We arrived super late and meant to sleep about four hours before getting back on the road, but ended up sleeping for five. The guy at the front desk was pleasant. It’s family owned and seems like a good midway stopping point, so we made a point of staying again on the way back from California. That second time there was a bit of a language barrier with the guy at the front, but it wasn’t bad. We’ll definitely stay again.

It has the feel of stepping back into the '70s, in a good way. The room was simple, with a TV, fridge, microwave, and hair dryer. The price was great, and since it’s a single-level motel like places in the '70s, there’s no foot traffic overhead to keep you awake. I’d stay again!

The motel is right off Interstate 15, which is a great location. The room was okay, about what you’d expect from a typical 1-star motel. I woke up freezing when the heater’s power plug somehow fell out in the middle of the night, and two outlets didn’t work. The Wi-Fi tested extremely slow, but somehow I was still able to stream videos.
