I like the seclusion, comfort, and quiet of a place like Waveland motel, since I’m not a fan of big hotels. It’s a great new motel in an amazing location, one block off the beach, and everything is very clean and new. You deal directly with the owner, which suits me. There’s a washer/dryer on site for $1.00. Wake up to a view of the inlet water, then walk one block back to the beach. Can’t get much better. We’ll be back very soon.

I don’t know who wrote the other reviews or how old they are, but this isn’t a nice place to vacation. The motel rents rooms to recovery centers, and the guests are unfortunately unsupervised. You may see people walking around who seem hopped up on whatever they’re trying to recover from, which is pretty scary. Please do yourself a favor and don’t stay here unless you like seeing addicts lying around smoking cigarettes on opioids.

The owner made us feel like family, and the service was excellent. Our new, clean room had everything we wanted and needed, including wifi, cable, a fridge, and microwave. It’s close to the boardwalk, too. We’ll definitely come back!
