Parking is plentiful and free, with lots of places to eat and gas stations nearby, but there's no EV charging station. We chose the property because the rates seemed extremely reasonable and wanted to keep vacation costs down. The room was cramped, especially for anyone traveling with kids, and noise carried badly. I could hear conversations from the hallway, footsteps from above, and doors opening and closing on our floor after 5am. There were gaps around the doors and frames that let light through. Breakfast had the usual scrambled eggs, meat patty, biscuits, gravy, breads, waffles, and apples every day, all individually packed. But the coffee machine and water/juice machine weren't working, and the fitness room ran out of water. They would give bottled water if asked, but for tea they said they could fill it from the tap. The sheets looked like they'd just been straightened after the last guest rather than changed, although we did get fresh towels each day.

We found a safe, clean place for a reasonable price while driving back to Ohio from North Carolina, and I'd stay again. The room had updated bedding, lighting, and TV, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, with eggs and sausage. It's right off the exit near other hotels and restaurants. I didn't use the gym, but I filled my water bottle there, and there was lemon water in the lobby.

The property is nice, and the staff do a good job keeping it clean even when guests track in snow. The problem is how the building carries noise. We were on the second floor in room 200, and when someone arrived upstairs at 1:00 am, every step kept us awake for the next hour. I'm sure they weren't stomping. Their floor creaked whenever they got up in the night, waking me again. If you stay here, I'd choose the top floor or at least avoid room 200.

We prefer staying at Comfort Inn Beckley WV when we travel, and we'll be back. The staff are wonderful. Freya is such a kind young woman and a real asset at the front desk. We've seen her deal with difficult guests, and she never seems flustered, always smiling.

The rooms have been renovated and were very clean, and the hotel is quite close to the New River Gorge National park. There were plenty of food options overall, though the coffee maker and juice dispenser in the breakfast area weren't working.
