Courtyard Chicago Midway Airport

The room was basic and the toilet didn’t work. At the front desk, I got different answers from everyone and no one was helpful. They were awful to deal with. Everything seemed to cost extra: late checkout, parking, even just asking a question apparently came with a $20 charge, lol. The worst Courtyard I’ve ever stayed at.

Jennifer and Natalia were there on the night shift when I arrived, and I’m grateful they helped me. I was in tears and had nowhere to go after finding out the hotel no longer accepted Chime Debit Card. I was disabled and couldn’t get around much, and Jennifer worked something out for me. Suzette also helped me learn about the Uber support services, and she has a wonderful spirit. I appreciated having kind people by my side during what was an awful experience. For the future, please be specific about which cards you accept, especially when people have reserved and called to ask about the process. I know now that some states accept Chime. This was a personal-business trip, and the trouble had started with Dollar car rental Company. It was a PKG deal, so I didn’t have a choice, but they took my money. I’ll never rent from them again. They’re a low budget car rental, so stick with the ones that have been around a long time. Sorry this reply is late 🌞🥲🤎

I was too tired to ask for another room, so I put up with the loud p-tec. The room seemed clean otherwise. My granddaughter noticed the coffee pot wasn’t clean, though I don’t drink coffee. Parking costs $30, which feels like too much these days.

Nicole was so welcoming, and her kindness and creative thinking made a real difference. She added long-term parking to my reservation, found me a comfortable room, and helped make the whole stay more affordable and pleasant.
