The breakfast may have been the highlight: homemade pancakes, an omelette, sausage, bacon, and fresh fruit, all delicious. We arrived later than we’d hoped, but were welcomed warmly. The room was comfortable and kept the house’s beautiful historic features, and the little enclosed patio was lovely for evening tea. We ate downstairs in the pub, where the food and service were great and the beer and bourbon list was fantastic. The inn is perfectly placed for a walking tour of downtown Bedford. We only wish we’d had more time to enjoy the place and explore. We’d highly recommend staying here.

The pub downstairs was the best part, with good food, great drinks, and a really quaint feel. I’d stop here again. The farmers porch was a lovely place to have morning coffee, and breakfast included with the stay was good. The room was clean and the shower got hot, though the spray was odd. The bed was okay for comfort.

The room was spotless and cozy, with thoughtful extras like spare toiletries in the bathroom. The pub and restaurant serve great food and have a really good beer selection. Tom must be the hardest-working man in Bedford, and you can see his effort throughout the Golden Eagle.

Tom and Mary Jane own and host this iconic B&B-style hotel. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in Bedford, PA. The historic character is still there in the unique, maze-like layout of the remastered rooms. There’s a cozy, very cool bar downstairs and delicious fresh breakfast on the middle floor. We enjoyed our stay, 10/10 for sure!

We spent two nights here for a girls’ spa weekend. The place was very clean and well located in town. Pub food was great, and breakfast was included and awesome.
