Rodeway Inn Bedford

The location was the only good part. I paid online for a non-smoking one-bed room, but they didn’t have one and put me in a room that smelled like an ashtray. Then they charged me extra. The lights only worked some of the time, the sheets were dirty, and there wasn’t even a microwave to warm up food. When I asked for another towel for my husband and me, they refused because there were only two of us. The service was poor, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

They charge extra for pets, even though the room was already in such bad shape that my pets couldn’t have made it worse. There was dried pee on the toilet, cigar trash, other people’s hair, and stained, gross sheets. This was the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed. I’ve slept in run-down places before, but for what I paid I expected at least a clean room. I wouldn’t stop here with kids or pets.

The night clerk was exceptionally friendly, which helped reassure us after seeing the shabby exterior and lobby. Our room was spacious and clean, with two queen beds, a fridge, and a microwave, and we had no problems while staying there. In the morning, I couldn’t get a printout of the bill. The first man who came out didn’t seem to speak English, and the second just looked at me. That wasn’t a great way to end the stay. It’s fine if you just need a cheap, clean room, but I’m not sure I’d return.

A basic place, run by a nice couple who are respectful and keep to themselves. I slept peacefully, so I’d recommend it if you just need a quick rest.
