Motel 6 Los Angeles - Bell Gardens

I've stayed here a few times, and every time we've run the AC, I've left with sinus problems. I keep meaning to clean the filter as soon as I arrive, but I stay so rarely that I forget until the unit has already been running for a couple of hours. Guests shouldn't have to handle this themselves. The filters really need attention. I doubt they've been cleaned since the building went up.

You're within walking distance of food, shopping, and the bicycle casino, and it's a pretty quiet property. The city sewer work nearby is the main exception, though it shouldn't bother you much. The rooms are what you'd expect from a Motel 6, nothing fancy, with that bright orange wall greeting you when you come in. A solid motel choice in Bell Gardens.

I was impressed that the room was clean and everything worked. I'd recommend staying here.

I checked out early because the maid service was so bad. On one occasion, my bed hadn't been made or the trash picked up for four days, and there were no towels or soap. At 4:00 am I had to ask the front desk for towels. The floor was never swept, and I ended up cleaning the room myself. A homeless person was sleeping on the stairway, which felt unsafe. When I first arrived, the sheets were dirty, so I complained. Three days later the trash still hadn't been taken out. I told the front desk, and the same maid yelled, “I hope you're happy now.” I paid for hotel service and expected decent service. Maid service sucked. Don't come here. Sincerely, RM 217
