A Cascade View Bed And Breakfast

The Rose Room was lovely for our two nights in July. The whole B&B is beautiful, and the family running it made it feel like we were staying with an aunt. That’s just what a B&B should be.

Marianne and Bill made this stay feel like time with family. We spent breakfast chatting with Bill about his Merchant Marine days and his work as a pilot on Puget Sound, and with Marianne about being a radio host and taking classical piano lessons. The day before we left, we even got a preview of her recital. Django was fun to play with, too, so leave enough time to enjoy their company instead of rushing off. My girlfriend and I spent a week in Seattle, and Bellevue was a handy base for exploring the area. Our room was comfortable and very nice, and Marianne’s breakfasts were really good. If you like meeting interesting people while you travel, A Cascade View Bed and Breakfast added a lot to our trip. The usual things you’d want from a B&B, like location and amenities, were there as well.

We were married in October, so our stay with Marianne and Bill doubled as a little honeymoon while we were in town for an important Microsoft-related business trip. With Microsoft’s HQ just 2 miles away, the location worked well, and choosing a B&B over a hotel turned out to be a great call. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was excellent, and Marianne and Bill were gracious hosts. It was a fantastic experience and good value. We’d be happy to stay here again on our next visit.

The fresh eggs from their own chickens were a real treat, and Marianne’s breakfast was delicious and very organic. Marianne and Bill also made us feel like part of the family. It’s a beautiful home with an antique interior, and we’re planning to come back in summer to see the backyard in full bloom.
