Moon River Cabins

The hosts were incredibly accommodating, and the whole visit went smoothly. We stayed in “Heartbreaker” at Moon River Cabins, and the Bellevue area has lovely views. The space felt comfortable and homey, was clean and well maintained, and had excellent amenities that seemed thoughtfully provided. You can tell real care went into the place. It made for an amazing getaway, and we’d absolutely recommend the cabin and stay here again.

Downtown Bellevue is a gorgeous walk, about 10-15 minutes from the cabin. We had a great staycation and would definitely come back. The cabin is really cute, and you can tell they put thought into making it feel upscale and comfortable. The robes were the coziest thing I’ve ever worn, and just right for a crisp fall night after a jacuzzi soak.

We picked Moon River Cabins for my husband’s birthday because we like finding places that feel unusual and a little remote, where we can unplug, unwind, and relax. It caught my eye right away, and I’m glad we gave it a try. Our cabin was clean, tidy, and well maintained, with a full kitchen that let us cook dinner and breakfast. We also used the outdoor grills. There were TVs by the hot tub, in the living room, and in the bedroom, all set up with Roku, which made a quiet night in easy. The couple who remodeled the cabins seems to have put a lot of creativity and care into them. It felt comfortable, almost like a home away from home. The setting along the Mississippi River is peaceful and scenic, and downtown Bellevue and the river walk are within walking distance. We had thunderstorms and rainy, cloudy weather during our visit, but made the most of the cozy cabin anyway. The property also has pickleball, cornhole, a sauna, and a hot tub attached to the cabin. One thing to know: there’s a railroad track nearby, and trains may pass. Music and a little white noise helped cover the sound for us. We had a relaxing stay despite the weather, and plan to return in summer to see more of the scenery and enjoy the outdoor activities. I’d recommend Moon River Cabins for a quiet break by the Mississippi.

The cabin was clean and well kept, and we had a great getaway. There was a small TV problem, but Matt called me back quickly and the rest of the stay was perfect. Highly recommend it for a fun escape.
