Fairhaven Village Inn

The location worked perfectly for exploring, and the atmosphere made the stay feel like a real getaway. Our room was spotless, nicely decorated, and so comfortable, with thoughtful little touches. From the start to the end of our visit, the staff made us feel welcome and looked after. Every interaction was friendly and genuine. We had a wonderful stay, can’t wait to come back, and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable visit.

There are several dining options and my favorite bookstore just steps away, and it’s easy to walk to the bay, ferry terminal, and train station. The Inn’s décor and service are topnotch, with the feel of a quaint European inn tucked into the beautiful Pacific Northwest. It’s my favorite place to stay in Bellingham.

Right in the heart of Fairhaven, it’s a good option for travelers. The lobby is a bit lackluster, but the rooms are spacious and well appointed. A real perk is having Galloway's Cocktail Lounge connected to the hotel, with drink discounts for guests.

The seagulls were the one irritation, though it wasn’t the hotel’s fault. They squawked nonstop. We noticed them less while sitting on the guest patio with the band playing at the Village Green across the street, but leaving the patio door open at night can make the noise extremely annoying. Lol! I’ve stayed at the Fairhaven Village Inn four times and love how easy it is to park there and walk around Fairhaven Village. The location, rooms, guest happy hour, patio, and morning baked goods and coffee are all great. There’s also a cute Library with books, games, and a seating area. The Inn has made some upgrades while keeping the Village charm. Since my last visit, the room locks changed to keypads with codes, which I liked because I didn’t have to worry about losing or deactivating a key card. On summer Saturdays, the Village Green park across the street has outdoor movies. I also love having Galloways connected to the hotel, a great spot for apps, wine, and cocktails. Bring a favorite drink to the guest patio; there are glasses and bottle openers in the rooms.
