Heritage Inn

A toddler accidentally booked a room through Expedia while playing with a phone. We cancelled and contacted them within 1-2 minutes, but Expedia and the motel are refusing to refund us because we chose a “non-refundable” option. I’ll be sure to tell my toddler to pick “REFUNDABLE” next time. Why can a toddler book a room so easily? Why isn’t there two-step verification for something like this?

We stayed here while evacuating because our home is right beside the Skagit river during the Skagit floods. For $90 we got two beds, a private bathroom, cable TV, and a coffee machine in the room. Our two cats were $20 each. There was some rowdy noise from upstairs, but that’s expected on the first floor. Honestly, no other complaints. I’d rate it 8/10 if you need a quick place to evacuate to.

At the end of the night, I just wanted to be alone, and they let me have that peace and space to think about what society stains. People are still good. They’re friendly, and they also have food.

The setting was calm, with lovely landscaping and nature around the hotel, and the staff were friendly and easy to deal with. It felt worth the rate, and I can’t wait to return. It’s right among everything, with a 4-20 minute drive to the places we wanted to visit. I’d read comments about a smoke smell but didn’t notice one inside. The room was clean and comfortable, and my friend and I loved the beds and pillows. The AC was phenomenal. We didn’t use the WiFi. The hot tub is in its own greenhouse-like room, and there are all kinds of amenities. Book early in the week since it fills up fast.
