For three weeks of our month-long stay, my friend and I were stuck in a room full of bugs. We used bug bombs three times, but management still wouldn’t move us. Housekeeping also kept forgetting the toilet paper and towels, so we had to fetch them ourselves. After a certain hour, the towels were locked away and even the manager couldn’t get them. I have nothing good to say about this hotel.
The owner next door at Cascades was kind and gave us a good weekly rate. But the heater quit during the coldest week of the year, and we were both sick upstairs with frozen stairs keeping us from getting down. There was no phone in our room, so we couldn’t reach the manager or owner. We also didn’t get any cleaning service during the week except on the one day we weren’t there, and some of our belongings went missing. We weren’t sleeping outside, at least, though it might have been warmer out there.
You don’t need to leave a deposit, and it’s the cheapest extended stay motel in town. The manager and housekeeper are nice. Room quality is mixed: some have been renovated and look great, while others are pretty questionable. Two of the buildings don’t have AC, though every room in the third one does.
After a 13-hour drive, we were exhausted enough to stop here. It turned out to be the dirtiest room I’ve ever rented, with black hand marks all over the place and toenail clippings on the floor.
We ended up here only because Days Inn across the street said our room wouldn’t be ready until 11 pm. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Avoid this whole strip of motels and hotels, and look up this hotel’s name in the news if you want a laugh and a reminder of why you wouldn’t want to stay here or nearby.
