I stayed in the least expensive room, so I can’t say what the higher-priced ones are like. For an overnight stop, it was perfect, and the price was great. The rooms are a bit older, but clean and comfortable, with comfy mattresses. Service was polite. There’s a restaurant in the building that serves breakfast and dinner. I had the buffet, which was pretty standard.

On June 10th at about 11pm, I was waiting by the elevator in the lobby while the receptionist talked casually with another guest. I don’t know if they were friends, but they kept using the n-word. When I asked her name, she said Jessica, then I found out in further conversation that she’d lied and her name was actually Jackie. Both people were Caucasian, and as an American of color, I found the whole thing deeply uncomfortable and downright outrageous. This was in 2026, and that behavior shouldn’t be tolerated, especially at a business and at a big hotel chain like Holiday Inn. I won’t return to this hotel. In fact, because of what happened with this specific receptionist, I might never come back to this city. We didn’t get robbed or stabbed.
Phillip, the bartender, made my stay memorable. He’s funny, charismatic, engaging, and brought great energy and conversation to the bar. He really goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The rooms at Holiday Inn Northwest Waco were exceptionally clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, among the nicest I’ve had in the area. The location was perfect for what I needed, with convenient parking. The jacuzzi wasn’t working during my visit, but hopefully it’ll be running next time I’m in town. I’ll definitely be back!
My wife and I come here every couple of months for a little staycation away from the house. The food is wonderful, and the hotel is quiet and super clean. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. If you get the chance, get a room with a Jacuzzi tub. They’re the best.
The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. On our first night the front desk service was sparse, but that was fine, maybe she didn’t like her job much. The second night Meagan H. greeted us, and her customer service was top notch. She’s just the kind of kind person I enjoy, and definitely the best person to be working the desk. She made our stay even more enjoyable, and I’ll definitely come back when we visit Waco again. My only complaint, and I never complain, is that the people next door must have been deaf because we could hear their TV right through the wall. Lol.
