Motel 6 Bellville, OH - Mid Ohio

We were driving back from New York to San Antonio after dropping our daughter off on base when a snowstorm hit. The first hotel we tried had no rooms, but recommended Motel 6. I’m so glad she did. The room was clean, very nice, and recently updated, and it gave us a safe place to spend the rest of the night. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d absolutely stay at Motel 6 in Bellviiew.

The room itself was decent, but the front desk interaction set a bad tone. We arrived 15 minutes early and asked if we could check in, then got lectured for being too early before she let us in. The television didn’t work properly, wireless reception was absent, and my cell signal was barely there. When we managed to get something on TV, it turned fuzzy and unwatchable after about 30 seconds. Outside, a car ran for most of the night, with doors opening and closing every few minutes. I don’t know what goes on at the hotel, but I felt very uncomfortable.

The staff are nice, and they let you stay as long as you want. But roaches crawled on my family’s bed while we were in it, several times during our stay. If you don’t want that happening, don’t come here.

There was a foul, musty smell in the room, and people were hanging around noisily near the front office late at night. The place was filthy. Thick dust and dirt covered the walls, the furniture was smudged, and the shower fixtures were grimy. The glass shower door had heavy soap scum and water spots, like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and there was mold in the shower. One of the worst places I’ve stayed.
