Rodeway Inn

The room itself was clean and roomy, and housekeeping was friendly. I also found the two doors useful for loading the car, even though I don't care for adjoining rooms and didn't like that one door went to the hallway and the other to the parking lot. It looked a little dated, but wasn't awful. What really threw me was the front desk associate. When I walked in, she was looking through a filing cabinet and didn't look up or answer my greeting. After I said I had a reservation, she yelled, “Give me a minute and I'll check it as soon as I'm done!” I was tired from a long drive and completely shocked. I needed the restroom badly but was nervous to ask where it was. She pointed it out rudely, then acted like nothing had happened when I came back.

A basic motel that does the job well. The room was clean and comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised they included a continental breakfast. Staff responded when we called about early morning noise. The TV could use an upgrade, though. It was an old style flat screen that looked at least 20 years old.

The place was clean and working well, and you can tell they take care of it. The rooms are okay, the beds feel cheap, and it looks great, but dealing with staff changed my view. My first two nights were great, and the woman checking me out was fantastic. I needed a third night, though, and the man who helped me charged retroactive fees. They wouldn't keep the $65 nightly rate listed on their website, and instead charged $80 plus $30 for three days of pet fees. At that cost, I'd stay somewhere else. I was meant to be in the area for a month and a half, but won't return. I prefer supporting smaller places over corporations, so that's a shame. The long-haired gentleman in particular had poor customer service, and the manager was offsite and unavailable to speak with. I guess I expected too much. I'd avoid staying here even if someone else were paying. Update 6/19: The manager got in touch and apologized. I gave them two more weeks. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that there was no offer to refund the pet charges for the time I spent there. I've provided service animal paperwork ever since and haven't had any problems.

A clean place to sleep and shower, with comfort but no luxuries. Check-in was easy and the woman was very friendly. There was a coffee maker with coffee in the room, and the price was very reasonable. Breakfast is at the adjoining restaurant, where my husband said the biscuit and gravy was the best he'd had at a budget hotel. Yes, I'd recommend this Inn if that's what you need.
