Quality Inn

I spent several days here and would stay again if work brings me back. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The bed was especially comfortable. Breakfast each day was basic, with cereal, bread, eggs, and sausage, and coffee was available all the time. The outdoor pool looked clean and was a nice extra, though I didn't use it.

The welcome at check-in was warm, and breakfast was great. We had a good stay overall with my boyfriend, but housekeeping began knocking around 10:45 AM even though our checkout was at noon. As Choice Privileges members, we understood noon to be our checkout time, and it's listed that way on the website. That part should be handled better so guests' checkout time is respected.

My family has stayed at the Belton, MO Quality Inn for over 25 years, but after this stressful visit we'll never return. I booked one night for Dec 26-27 while traveling with my husband and our 7-month-old to see family for the holidays. At check-in, the woman at the front desk asked for my name and driver's license since the reservation and card were in my name. She then demanded my husband's ID too. He didn't have it with him, and while he was about to give his name, she cut him off, told him not to smirk or make that face, and threatened that he wouldn't be allowed to stay. She lectured him about not having ID and what he would do if pulled over, which had nothing to do with checking in. In the end she refused him a room and said only I could stay. We asked to cancel and get our money back, which she agreed to, because we weren't going to split up. I believe she racially profiled my husband, who is Black, and targeted him from the moment we arrived. It's disgusting that the hotel would keep an employee like that. I was never refunded even though she'd agreed, and had to pay for another hotel as well. The hotel doesn't answer its phone, and calling corporate got me nowhere. Horrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Quality Inn Belton - Kansas City South was a convenient place to stay, with clean, well-kept rooms and friendly, attentive staff. Free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking were useful extras, and the location made it easy to reach local attractions and highways. It seems like a practical option for work or leisure if you're looking for comfort and convenience.
