Budget Inn & Suites

I felt the desk clerk was racist. I'm white, and my female friend is Black. We've known each other for years and live together. We planned to celebrate my birthday, and the hotel is next to my job. The woman at the desk questioned why we wanted separate beds and seemed to suspect we planned to bring people over for drugs, sex, or something else. She nearly refused to give us a room. The room looked clean at first, but the towels were dirty, and there were burn holes in the sheets and comforter. I asked to have them changed, but the clerk smirked and said they had no spare towels or sheets. For $90 plus a $5 cash-only deposit, it wasn't worth it. I should've gone to Motel 6 for less, with better service and a clean room.

We were between homes and ended up staying here for two weeks. The cleaning crew was amazing, and the rooms were clean. You can walk to food, groceries, and UHAUL, so the location was hard to beat. The nightly price added up, though: $80 a night, or $90 on weekends, with no weekly rate. There's a refrigerator in the room, but we brought our own microwave. Otherwise, you have to share one with everyone, which I personally find gross. Still, I was very pleased with our stay.

It was quiet, and the room, tub, sheets, washcloths, and towels were clean. The beds were brand new. I would've given it five stars if there'd been a microwave in the room and the pillows weren't old. I'm staying another night. Thanks for making me comfortable. I stayed the night of 11/20.

I worked and lived at this hotel, and I put in the flowers and mulch you see outside. I gave the place my honest effort and loyalty.
