I still don’t know what went wrong, but it seriously disrupted my planned trip to the region. I called to book and gave them all my information. They said the booking was successful and that I’d get a confirmation text. When it never came, I called back the same day and was told the reservation had been made, they just hadn’t sent the text yet and would send it later. Several days after that, I called again and was told they had no record of my booking. The hotel was full by then. It seems this Inn has trouble managing its bookings.

I chose this place because it was a little cheaper than similar motels nearby, but yikes. The room had a bad perfume smell, like they were trying to cover up something else, and the toilet wobbled when I sat on it.

I’ve been in the hotel business for over 30 years, and I know you can’t make everyone happy. People complain about thin walls and an awful bed, blah blah blah, but I thought this place was exceptional. The bed was comfortable, and even the linens smelled good. It’s very well kept, and I loved the decor. Great customer service, definitely worth the stay. I’ll be back.

The carpets were musty, the room was small, and the tiny bathtub had only a partial 1980's remodel. There was no breakfast, either. I’d hoped for a lovely old-fashioned inn near quaint Bennington where I could relax and enjoy lower Vermont. Instead, it felt like an overpriced roadside motel. With this location, it’s a shame the inn doesn’t offer more of a rustic bed and breakfast experience.
