We didn’t feel safe here at all. When we arrived last night, some guy was sleeping in his car, then got out as soon as we stepped out of ours. He clearly didn’t seem to be staying at the hotel. I don’t know whether they have security. The building smelled foul throughout, there was visible mold on the walls, and the room was in awful shape. The bathroom door looked kicked in and got stuck when closed, making me worry it might break as I tried to get out. Our key cards deactivated every time we left the property, so I kept having to go to the desk to get back in. We’d booked at the last minute because of an emergency, and it gave us a roof for the night, but I’ll never stay again. The place felt more like a drug den than a hotel, and I’ve stayed at cheaper places that actually maintain their property. Most of the staff were awful, giving hostile looks when we tried to be friendly and making us feel uncomfortable. The one bright spot was the woman at the front desk, who was very nice and welcoming. I’m attaching pictures of the mold and damaged doors so you can see what you’re walking into. It served its purpose in an emergency, but I highly recommend staying far away.

The woman at the front desk was so kind and kept going above and beyond to make my days and nights enjoyable. The room itself was top quality with all the bells and whistles. I didn’t even mention the free breakfast, served every morning from 6:30 am to 9:00 am. It felt like a real breakfast at home: Belgium waffles, fresh coffee, yogurt, Danish, honey buns, English muffins, Fruit Loops, Raisin Bran, and fresh-squeezed OJ. It’s conveniently located on Street Rd, two blocks from Parx Casino, with lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Parx Casino is also within walking distance. Take a mini vacation in your own backyard, it’s awesome!

As soon as I walked into the lobby, the cigarette smell and heavy humidity made me want to turn around. There were holes all along the hallway on the way to my room. The room seemed okay at first, but when I pulled back the covers, a roach ran out from the folded blankets. I left right away. The front desk was accommodating and cancelled my reservation without charging me, but I can’t recommend this place.

The elevator felt like it might collapse while we rode up, so we took the emergency stairs straight back down when we checked out. We left immediately after seeing our room. The whole building smelled strongly of mildew, and the room had an odor like hot mold, mildew, and tobacco. There were bed bugs, mold on the beds and walls, sticky floors, and what looked like a small puddle of blood between the beds and under the nightstand. I’d strongly advise against staying here.

Don’t go here. The place is disgusting, and cosmetic repairs don’t make it quality. The photos show only a small part of the many problems. The drains were clogged, so I had to stand in dirty shower water and even use the ice bucket to help flush the toilet. I changed rooms three times, but the drain problems were still there. There were big cigarette burns in the bed linen, and no house phone to call the front desk. If something breaks after 4pm, when maintenance goes home, forget getting help.
