Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bensenville - O'Hare by IHG

Breakfast had a great range of choices, so everyone could find something. The hotel was clean and well cared for, and the housekeepers were friendly and always smiling. From arrival, the front desk staff were kind, helpful, and upbeat, which made me feel welcome. It was a comfortable, pleasant stay, and I'd recommend the hotel. Thanks for the great service. I'll be back soon.

The rooms were clean, and Steve, who was working in the evening, was kind and professional. He helped us out, and I wish the morning staff had been more like him. The breakfast ended too early for me to get to it, except the day before, when I think it ran until 11:30 instead of 10:30. The morning manager was rude and unprofessional. She said I hadn't paid, even though I had the receipt and everything was fully paid. She also refused to keep my luggage in the locker for more than a couple of hours, so I couldn't get things done. I wouldn't recommend this place for the price. I could find much better customer service elsewhere. The gym was basic and not very clean, with stains on the machines unlike the pictures, and the pool wasn't clean either. The next day, I couldn't use the hair dryer or charge anything because of an electrical problem. The manager yelled that I needed to check out, even though they couldn't fix it until 45 minutes later. The problem started a quarter before 1:12, and by the time it was resolved I had to rush to get ready. They still charged me for late checkout, despite the electrical problem being on their end. The manager had treated me similarly that morning. After all that, I didn't want to wait longer for the shuttle, so I left. I won't use Holiday Inn Express again because of the morning management and lack of supervision. The managers acted as though they owned the place. When I called to complain, customer service said it was their first complaint, after I had to call a couple of times. They did address it, but that was already at checkout, and I hadn't had proper time to get ready because of the outage and being told to leave early. They charged me for an extra extension even though the electrical fault was their technician's problem.

Breakfast was included, which saved us time and money and worked well for our family. The hotel was good value, an easy drive to where we needed to go, and the staff were kind and helpful when we had questions. The room was comfortable and quiet despite being near the airport, and everything felt clean and well kept. We'd happily stay again.

The room was clean and spacious, and the king bed in room 221 was extremely comfortable. Gunjan called on 4/25/26 to apologize for my disappointing experience, which I appreciated. I may have rated the venue more harshly than necessary. Make sure to ask them to refresh your room each day. Checking in was a bother to the front desk woman. She didn't seem to care and was very curt and unpleasant. When I checked out around 345 am, the desk was left unattended for a long time. A couple who'd been waiting before me and a family with three young children left when the shuttle arrived. I left around 410-415, and nobody was at the desk then either. At 623 am, I called from my departure gate at ORD and told Thomas several parties had been trying to check out while the desk was unattended. He sounded like he'd just woken up, was unapologetic, and gave a series of excuses. I'd stayed at four Holiday Inn properties that week and was disappointed by the treatment from both the woman and Thomas. The $50 security deposit here also stood out when other properties charge $25. IHG needs to be consistent. I'm a Hilton Honors Diamond member with 46 nights ytd and had been seriously thinking of moving more of my business to IHG. So far, this IHG property stands out for its poor service. Aside from that, the rooms are consistently clean, spacious, and comfortable.
