Best Western Plus Castlerock Inn & Suites

The room was quiet at night because it didn’t face the busy road, and all the staff I met were pleasant. The location is good for nearby restaurants, though making a left out of the parking lot onto the busy road can be nearly impossible at certain times. I usually turned right and followed the GPS instead. We booked an accessible room because my husband needs bathroom handrails. It had plenty, both in the tub and by the toilet, plus a shower chair and handheld shower. The closet had a lowered clothes rack, and there was a piece of furniture I wasn’t sure about, maybe an adult changing table. The HVAC worked well and could be controlled from a wall thermostat near the sofa or at the heater/AC. Breakfast was nice overall, though I’d have liked fresh fruit. The toilet wouldn’t flush everything away. I asked the front desk for a plunger when we went down for breakfast, and they said they’d send one up. Back in the room it still wasn’t emptying properly, and I was desperate to use it, but waited about 15 minutes. When no one came, I found the cleaning staff down the hall and asked to borrow one. I had to demonstrate what I meant, which was actually fun, since I don’t know the Spanish word for plunger. She happily lent me one, and I returned it after it did the job. Maintenance arrived with another plunger about half an hour later. The other issue was a huge dip on one side of the king mattress. It was on Hubs’ side and he never complained, but it would have driven me nuts.

The location was hard to beat, and the service was always friendly and helpful. My room felt stylish and was incredibly comfortable, a great place to unwind. Fantastic stay! ✨ Highly recommend! 💯

The staff were super friendly, and the beds were more comfortable than at other Best Westerns we’ve stayed at on our trips. In the evening they even put warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. All they were missing was milk to go with them. Hahaha.

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was better than average for the room price. But the windows don’t block much sound. We had room 205, and I wouldn’t recommend a road-side room like 200-205 if road noise late into sleeping hours bothers you.
