La Quinta Inn & Suites Bentonville

The breakfast was great, the amenities were good, and the location was fantastic, but we probably won't return. The place felt dated, from the chipped wood and early 2000s headboard to the carpet. It looked clean, but just walking across the carpet left the bottoms of my feet dirty. The hotel smelled musty, and the side door and stairs reeked of weed. For a non-smoking hotel, there seemed to be a bit of a party atmosphere, and I could see smoke in the halls. My whole family had bites on our feet and ankles. I don't think they were bed bug bites, but flea bites. The hotel allows pets, and we saw a few dogs. I'm guessing there aren't designated pet rooms and that pets go into all of them. It's unfortunate, but this could be turned around easily.

I've never stayed somewhere with such a friendly team. You can tell these folks love their jobs. There were smiling faces everywhere, from management and housekeeping to the front desk and maintenance. All top notch.

The room was large, and the staff were nice. The beds were beds, though one spot on mine was worn in. Food was okay, and the hot tub was closed. Pulling out of the parking lot can be difficult. The stay was fine, and I'd return.

I've stayed at dozens of La Quintas around the country with my dog, and this is my favorite so far. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. My bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot with strong pressure. There's a large grassy area behind the hotel where dogs can walk and exercise safely. The staff were friendly and changed my room location so my dog could be closer to an exit.
