The Compton

My business trip was pushed back a week by winter weather, and the staff kindly let me reschedule my stay. They made me feel welcomed every time I came back, opening the door on each arrival and departure. It felt like returning to my own luxurious manor. The lobby is eclectic and thoughtfully put together, and my room and bathroom were gorgeous and spotless. I never saw housekeeping, but they were clearly working behind the scenes. Each night the bed was turned down, blackout blind closed, lights dimmed, and a carafe of water left for me. I also loved the Ozark folklore item on the bed each night: a red string, local wildflower seeds, and a local river rock. I'll definitely book again if I'm in the area.

We stayed at the Compton for a quick long weekend over Memorial Day, and it turned into one of our most unexpectedly positive trips. The rooms were spacious and beautifully designed, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The whole hotel is beautiful and smelled AMAZING. We first wondered if it was a scent pumped into the lobby, and even tried asking the front desk if we could buy a candle. It turned out the smell came from burning hickory chips or something to cook meat at the restaurant upstairs. I really have stayed at nice hotels, haha, but this one was exceptional.

We came to Bentonville for our son's proposal and had a wonderful stay. The beautiful rooms and helpful staff made the hotel an experience in itself. We especially enjoyed the bar, and everything about the place was stunning. I've already recommended it highly to several friends traveling to Bentonville, and we'll stay here again next time we're in town.

Our wedding night at The Compton was short but amazing. The room was beautiful, with so many thoughtful touches around the hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and had left champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a card signed by the staff congratulating us. Highly recommend, and we'll be back.
