A Cambridge House Inn

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff made us feel so welcome. Our room was clean and roomy too. I absolutely loved staying here and would recommend it.

The neighborhood felt safe, and the hotel was very clean. My room had everything I needed, including a small bottle of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, plus AC. It’s conveniently close to the T red line. There are stairs to climb, so keep that in mind if you’re carrying lots of luggage. I’d stay again.

We left this morning smelling strongly of cigarette smoke, and I’m asthmatic. My throat hurts. The room was filled with smoke odor, and there was even a cigarette burn on the mattress beneath the sheets. It was much worse than spending an evening in a dive bar. We checked in late after a concert, with heavy traffic leaving the city. When I called this morning to report the room, they said it was their best room, told me I should have called the night before, said nothing could be done, and hung up. The Google photos are misleading. The building we stayed in was separate from the main building shown in the nicer photos. Maybe it was once a very nice place, but based on our stay, claims in current reviews that it’s clean don’t seem accurate if this is their “best room.” I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I like the classic furniture and setting, but there really should be more outlets and USB ports.
