My husband and one-year-old son were left stranded after traveling all day because there was nobody at the front desk to check them in. No one answered the phone, and there was no hotel contact to reach. Marriott left my family without a place to rest. They’d taken an Uber to get there and had only seven hours before their next flight. They had no bed, no refrigerator for their food, and nowhere to make my son’s milk. This is absurd and unacceptable. I’m furious that this could happen. Who knows what service anyone could get there if there isn’t even one attendant present? Fix it, Marriott. Someone needs to lose their job, and you need to make this right. It’s been nearly two hours that they’ve been stranded at a major hotel.

We only stayed one night, and if it had been longer I would have moved to another hotel. The hallway and elevator-area carpets are worn out, and the rooms need a major overhaul. At check-in nobody acknowledged our status, and the bedroom window in our first room was broken. With temperatures in the 20s and gusty winds, we had to ask for another room, which they provided. This wasn’t what I expected from a Marriott.

We had stained curtains, and when I opened them I saw lots of box elder bugs on the windows. I wish I’d taken pictures. The rooms haven’t been updated in a long time, though the lobby and breakfast area have. The price just doesn’t add up. I wouldn’t have picked this hotel if it weren’t for the airport shuttle and its location near restaurants and shopping. It’s a very walkable area, and pets are allowed for a fee.

The room smelled clean, which matters a lot to me, but this older hotel badly needs renovations. The rooms are really outdated, especially the bathroom. The sink comes up to my mid-thigh for some reason, and it isn’t a handicap room. The bathroom needs a serious remodel. The toilet is near the floor and is the smallest I’ve ever seen. The Sheetrock repairs and paint are terrible, the sort of thing I’d expect at a Motel 8, not a Marriott property.
