For a no-frills night in Berea, Hometown Inn is a great deal, with a nice hot shower and really good service. I was driving cross-country alone in my van and booked through Expedia because of its high reviews there. Owner Mr. Patel was friendly and gave me a nice king room. While I was unloading in the parking lot, he noticed radiator fluid leaking out of my van. He dropped what he was doing, brought over a bunch of tools, and helped me get things back together. He even went to the auto parts store for me. His knowledge, help, and kindness literally saved my trip. Thank you so much.

We stayed December 4-5, 2025. The price was budget friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very nice. I’d recommend this location and would stay here again when we’re back in the area.

The room was spotless and quiet, and we felt safe there. The laminate floors meant no grubby carpet, the bed was very comfortable, the sheets and duvet were pristine white, and the bathroom was clean. We could see the new owners are proud of the motel and working hard to renovate it. The front desk clerks were pleasant and said they bought the place a few years ago and have been fixing it up. We were driving home from Ohio to Florida and spent a couple of hours checking reviews for motels nearby. Even the pricier places had plenty of bad ones. When I read the Hometown Inn reviews, I felt we’d found a good place to sleep for the night. If you want a clean, no-frills stay at a great price, we recommend it.

The price was hard to beat, and the rooms were clean and modern. It’s dog friendly too. I stayed here twice, once each way on my drive from Atlanta to Saginaw, and I’ll stay again when I pass through in October. The good Booking.com reviews helped me choose it.
