Lodging on the Square

It's a quiet place with parking on site, and you can walk to plenty of shops and places to eat. Just know that check-in isn't here. You have to drive about two miles to Berlin Heritage Inn to get your key.

Lodging On the Square is a favorite of mine in Berlin. The accommodations are clean, and the price and location are both great. There's not much in the way of extras, and breakfast is very basic, but the value and location make up for that.

The room seemed clean and had plenty of towels. Breakfast was free and had a decent range of choices, though the milk had gone bad 😄. The price was fair, and the location is great.

The location made it easy to walk to the shops, and there's a great coffee shop just a block away. We had plenty of parking, and the room was quiet even though it faced the street. It was a large king deluxe suite with a jetted tub in the open living area and a separate bedroom behind a door. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean, though a little dated. The kitchen was a good size, but the fridge was small, so don't plan on storing much food. There was a little coffee maker and a microwave, but no paper plates or silverware. Bring some if you want to heat leftovers. We found plastic forks in the lobby. Check-in was at Berlin Inn, a few blocks away, and we went there each morning for the complimentary breakfast. The communication about finding the room and breakfast was helpful. Going elsewhere for breakfast wasn't ideal, but there were only a few guests at our property, so it made sense. The food included coffee, juice, omelets, waffles you make yourself, sausage gravy and biscuits, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, and dry cereal. Everything tasted good. It's affordable, comfortable, and quiet, and felt worth what we paid for a weekend away.
