Berne has such a sweet little Swiss Amish feel. The hotel room was clean, and the staff were really nice.

There aren't many other choices in town. The room had very few amenities, and the area around the microwave and toaster was gross. The heat wasn't great either, so I brought my own electric blanket. Breakfast was a little below what you'd expect even for a motel.

The checkout setup was frustrating too, with the clerk appearing on a screen instead of being there in person. The soap was paper thin and, to me, total garbage. I had to wash my hair under the faucet because the shower didn't work. When I mentioned it at checkout, the clerk just said he'd pass it on to maintenance and didn't seem to care or offer a reduced rate. It's not American-owned, so beware. The services feel cheap, and I wouldn't stay here again.

The free breakfast is only served from 8:30-10am, which gave me the impression they didn't really want guests eating there. I also felt uncomfortable seeing men hanging around outside and in vehicles in the parking lot after 9pm.

A pool would be nice, maybe they'll add one soon. The bed was really comfortable, and everything was clean and well kept. I can't think of anything negative about my stay.
