Bluebird Suites near Bethesda Metro

Stay away from Global Luxury Suites. Customer service is awful, and they go back on what they told you. On Saturday I couldn’t reach the company at any of the numbers they provided, including the emergency line. I tried to extend my stay, but I didn’t submit all the “required” documents and no one would answer the phone, so I left on my original reservation date. The next day, a charge appeared for the extension anyway. Customer service then said the documents weren’t really required because I’d submitted the original request and it was nonrefundable. Then they hung up on me. Very rude and disappointing.

We liked the location near AU, but there was no parking pass, the keys didn’t work, and the service was poor. Despite a 24-hour concierge, we couldn’t get useful help. We called, texted, and emailed about the pass after being assured it would be provided. With no other parking nearby, my husband had to keep getting up through the night to move the car so it wouldn’t be towed. They finally brought the pass at 5pm, when we were checking out the next morning. The bedroom screen was also hanging off when we arrived, unbelievable at these prices. We booked three nights while taking our son to college and specifically needed parking and a washer/dryer. The convenient location didn’t make up for the lack of parking, working keys, or help. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, somewhere that cares about guests and can actually assist when problems come up.

I paid $6,300 for a month with Global Luxury Suites for me and my 3 kids, expecting a safe, clean, comfortable place. Instead, the unit smelled awful and had no WiFi, no working A/C, broken blinds, and exposed cords. It took nearly a week to fix anything, even after I sent repeated messages. I had to move my family to a Marriott and spend over $200 of my own money on cleaning supplies. After paying in full, no one should be treated like this. It wasn’t luxury, just a stressful, frustrating stay with no accountability or compensation. I’d never book with Global Luxury Suites again.

For all five days we’ve been at Global Luxury Suites, my son has had to sleep on the floor because the sofa bed is broken. No one replaced it or provided a blanket, and the dishwasher has been broken the whole time. A hotel representative confirmed the problem in person, but nothing happened, and even the emergency support line couldn’t help. This is unacceptable for somewhere claiming to be “luxury.” We’ve felt nothing but neglected and disrespected.
