Since moving into Bethesda Row, my experience has been extremely disappointing. There was visible rust and discoloration across the bathroom when I moved in, including on the tub, shower head, mirror, walls, and floor. The shower doesn't work properly, so I've had to go back to my previous apartment to shower. I'm still paying rent there because of the required 60-day notice, which makes this even more frustrating. I listed the problems on the inventory and condition form right away and sent detailed photos and videos. Management acknowledged them and opened maintenance requests, but the unit should have been addressed before it was handed to a new tenant. Given the extent of the issues, I also requested a county inspection to check whether it meets habitability standards. For a property with this price and reputation, this wasn't the move-in experience I expected. Thanks for responding and reaching out. I've already provided the documentation and am waiting for maintenance to be scheduled and for the county inspection. I hope for a timely resolution and will update this review. Update: After property management visited, I was told the bathroom rust and discoloration are considered “permanent” and won't be fixed. I'm still waiting for the county inspection to determine whether the condition meets habitability standards. I'll update the review based on what comes of it.

There are 23+ residents moving out right now. If you're thinking of moving here, DONT. This has been the worst experience, and we've had to go to Corporate to get issues resolved because manager RUDY is incompetent and a menace to the community. He should be under review. In our entire life, we've never had such a terrible experience. We caught 13 mice in our apartment after a wall broke. 13 MICE! They come in to inspect without telling you and try to frame it on the resident. They once accused a resident of BUYING MICE!!! Cover up. There's constant construction, elevator outages, drug needles on the floor, and packages went missing for a brief time. Residents were the ones delivering those packages. The garage has a sewer smell and other horrible smells, plus SO MUCH MORE HORRIBLE THINGS. This place is a joke. They don't take anything seriously, and once the manager has an issue with you, he'll say no to everything and blame everyone but himself. HE IS TRULY AN IGNORANT MAN WITH NO ETHICS OR MORALS. I have no idea how he's the manager here. I can't believe I had to go to corporate and the privacy team because they BLASTED MY FULL NAME in an email. Your money is better spent at The Elm or other places in Bethesda. The 2 months free is a scam. DONT FALL FOR IT PLEASE 🙏🏻. Stay away. -10/10 stars. God is watching. I'll add more once our move is complete. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Since November, living at Upstairs at Bethesda Row Apartments has meant problems from the day I moved in. The apartment wasn't clean, and the punch list I submitted at signing still hasn't been worked on. They later put lights right outside every window in my apartment. It's so bright that sleeping is very hard, and after 4 months it's starting to affect my health. They must have known about those lights when I signed the lease. They should have told me. This is a huge deception. The dishwasher broke within the first month. After a few repair attempts, they replaced it, but didn't anchor the new one, so it falls out of the cabinet when you open the door. The dryer takes hours to dry clothes. The shower and toilet back up all the time, and showering means standing in inches of water. My cable only works in one of three locations; the cable person said the wires are broken in the walls. I could go on and on. This is supposed to be a secure building, but stairwell doors are often propped open, so anyone can enter. The parking garage is supposed to be secure too, but holes cut in the gated stairwell doors let anyone reach through and open them. It's listed as a luxury apartment, but it's nowhere close. Apart from the location, I see no redeeming qualities. Don't be fooled by first appearances. I'd recommend talking to several people who live here before signing, and doing better research, including checking online reviews, as I should have. I can't wait for my lease to end so I can leave. I'd tell anyone thinking of renting here NOT TO RENT HERE!

Gisele was professional, friendly, and so helpful from the start of our apartment search. My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience working with her. She answered our questions quickly and thoroughly, made applying easy, and went above and beyond to get everything ready for move-in day. What stood out most was how much she seemed to care, along with her patience and attention to detail. She took time to address our concerns and helped us find an apartment that checked all our boxes.

My wife and I lived here for over 5 years. The building kept getting worse, with rat infestations and trash problems. The last straw was the “renovation” of the once large, spacious gym into a tiny closet-sized space that's almost unusable. We had our apartment professionally cleaned before leaving, then got an email from manager Rudi with a final bill for under $400 and a note saying we'd be sent to collections if we didn't pay immediately by check. That's terrible customer service after almost 6 years here. We even accidentally double-paid rent once. In my opinion, how you treat people affects whether you get your next client. We were model tenants, and threatening collections the same day you send the bill is terrible.
