We had a lovely river view from our room and really liked the cozy, nostalgic feel of the place. The room was quaint and clean, and the staff were friendly. I had warm rolls with cinnamon butter and apple butternut soup for dinner, and both were amazing. We had to leave early, so we missed breakfast. Highly recommend!

The cozy atmosphere and convenient location made for a lovely two-night stay for my girlfriend and me. The staff were very kind, and the breakfasts were wonderful both mornings. Our first-night dinner was great too, especially the salmon and butternut squash ravioli. We ate elsewhere the second night. A gentleman played guitar and sang while we were there, which was a nice touch. There’s a neat old bridge nearby that leads to a quiet dirt road along the water across from the inn. Clean, charming place, and I’d definitely return.

We took the family away for the weekend and had a great experience. The atmosphere was unbelievable, the staff were incredible, and the restaurant food was delicious. The bar was really nice too. I’d do it again with the whole family. Thanks for the hospitality.

The best part of our four-night stay in the Queen Annex, Oct. 29-Nov. 2, was the river and mountain view from our balcony. We liked having morning coffee or a cold drink outside, and a couple of nights we left the main door open with just the screen closed so we could hear the river as we slept. The Inn Keeper, Sarah, I believe, the front staff, and everyone else were friendly. When I called about a week ahead to ask for a slightly early check-in, they arranged it at no extra charge. The front office and dining area felt cozy, and the food was good. We had dinner there one night and breakfast another morning, with especially good chocolate chip pancakes. The Inn is close to Chutters in Littleton, Franconia Notch, and a Chinese takeout place across from Chutters whose name I’ve forgotten, something like “Jings.” It’s also one of the few B&Bs in the White Mountain region that accepts pretty much all pets, especially cats. Our cat loved the view and had her best life there. There are some drawbacks. No elevator or ramps means hauling everything up or down about three flights of stairs if you’re on the top floor, perhaps in several trips if you pack heavily like we do. The power kept flickering, and the internet was unreliable enough that we used our hotspot or mobile data most of the time. Our fridge smelled a bit foul, and the bathroom was cramped. Still, I liked the place overall and would return for the positives. I might choose two or three nights next time instead of four.

We loved sleeping with the windows open and listening to the river all night. The Inn is on the older side, though, and sound carries, so you hear people moving around. We stayed in the actual inn, and our room was impressively large. The woman who checked us in was very kind and helpful. There’s a bar, a dining area, and a couple of sitting rooms where you can watch TV or play games. The whole place is quite large and seems well loved. Breakfast is cooked to order from a set menu between 7:30 and 9:30. It was lovely eating while looking over the river. We’ll definitely be back.
