Crystal Lake Resort

We had a room with a view, and it really delivered. The room was clean, with a microwave, Keurig, and mini fridge, and the beds were fairly comfortable. Staff were kind and accommodating. Daily room cleaning is still available if you want it; we asked them to skip ours since we were only staying a couple of nights, and my husband makes the bed each morning. It was also one of the more affordable places nearby, with its own private beach. We had a great stay.

We loved the quiet lakeside spot and the private area by the water. The owner was so sweet and accommodating, and Kelly at the front desk and the two housekeepers were really friendly. We had booked two nights for a little Up North stop, but an issue at our Air BNB meant we needed a third, and they were able to fit us in. The one thing I’d change is the pillows. They were too thin and uncomfortable, and sleeping in an unfamiliar bed is hard enough without that.

The lake is clear and beautiful, and we caught some lovely sunsets. Beach access is just a few steps away. We only stayed one night, but the service and hospitality were wonderful. They even left champagne and a nice card for our honeymoon. I’d recommend this if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in northern Michigan. Thanks again.

The lake setting is beautiful, but the room was very, very small. We couldn’t get the heat working, the shower was only 24 inches square, and the TV reception was really poor.
