Hotel del Flores

Had so much fun staying here for the BioHacking Conference, lol. There’s a lot of history, and being within walking distance of the iconic Beverly Hills Market, which is family owned, was great. Next time I’ll book an air-conditioned room. Otherwise, such a novel and fun experience. #GoodTimes ❤️‍🔥

The receptionist was friendly, the bathroom was clean, and the AC and TV both worked. The hotel was very quiet, and I didn’t see anything dirty in my room. For the price in this area, it wasn’t a bad stay. The location is great, right in Beverly Hills near the shopping area, with a Whole Foods down the corner. But the place needs renovation because everything felt old. In 2025, they still use a key to open the door instead of a card or fob, despite all the AI magic. Three stars feels fair.

The rooms are cute, but there’s a $300 security deposit and it takes a week to get it back. The person working tried to explain it like a car loan. They acted like this was normal, but I’ve stayed at cheaper motels with smaller deposits that were returned the next day. There’s really nothing special about the place.

I picked this hotel mainly for its location, but the cleanliness was well below what I expected. The carpet was extremely dirty, and the room smelled strongly and unpleasantly. I couldn’t sleep properly through the night because of the odor, and for the price, I can’t understand how anyone could feel comfortable here. I’m asking management to replace the old, unhygienic carpets and improve room cleanliness. A lower price doesn’t have to mean luxury, but basic hygiene is something guests should be able to count on.
