The staff made my 12-night stay lovely. I got a cheerful good morning and a smile whenever I headed out, which was a nice way to start the day. Judy was delightful at check-in and check-out, and helped when my key stopped working once. The location worked really well for my job in Beverly Hills. My room was clean and quiet, though the carpet had some stains, the mini fridge was a bit damaged, and the shower head wasn’t ideal. I expect those things may be handled in the upcoming renovations. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The location was excellent, and parking was convenient, though it added another $45. The price was fair, but there wasn’t breakfast or coffee unless you went to the sister hotel. When I asked for a microwave, they handed me a huge old one and expected me to carry it to my room. The rooms were fairly clean, but the furniture was so old it had a grimy film. The chemical scents used to cover odors were bad, too. They seem to be aiming for old boutique glamour, but to me it looked more like a garage sale covered in black spray paint. Next time I’ll go farther into LA and choose a corporate hotel with more amenities.

Pretty decent for the price and the location is excellent. The room was small, as you’d expect in a boutique hotel, but fine. The carpet was dirty, so wear shoes. It’s a quiet area, though you may want to ask for a quiet room. Parking is $45 a night, with taxes and other fees on top. The female receptionist was rude and acted like she didn’t want to help. She said street parking wasn’t allowed overnight, but I think you can park without paying between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m.

The location was the only good thing about this stay. Getting to my room was made bizarrely difficult by the staff, so the welcome felt unfriendly from the start. The hotel was dingy throughout, with badly stained hallway floors and dirty curtains and bedding. Even the complimentary soap and lotion looked dirty and used. There was no heater or hot water, and when I asked for help, I was ignored. Then I found bugs on the bed. This was easily my worst hotel experience. It’s not worth your time or money.
