The Cabot Lodge

My daughter’s a big fan of the loft, and the room is really cute. The owner and employee were so friendly and accommodating, with recommendations for food and things to do that were spot on. This was our second stay at Cabot Lodge, and I already can’t wait to come back. It’s hard to imagine a better place in this cute little town. Just don’t tell anyone, okay? I’d like it to be available next time I return. 😀

The parking is frustrating and awkward, a big downside, but I understand they have to follow the ordinance. I’ll still stay again. The Cabot Lodge was extremely clean and had a welcoming, homey feel. The colors were calming, with a relaxing beach kind of look. I’m not sure if she was the owner or a staff member, but I saw her outside watering the plants like she was caring for her own home. It had a Hamptonish feel, with a down-to-earth charm.

The staff were kind, accommodating, and quick to answer my questions throughout the stay. My room was modern, very clean, and just the right size for one person. Beverly is a perfect spot, a few minutes on foot from the beach and close to lots of good restaurants and small businesses. I hope I can make it back soon.

The one awkward bit was the bathroom door, which didn’t give full privacy. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but with a friend or family member you’re less comfortable around, it might feel different. There’s also a spacious, very clean bathroom in the lobby, though you need a key card for it, not the electronic card. I only noticed at checkout that a sound machine had been provided. I’d thought the fan was running the whole time. 😅 We stayed two nights with three people. One person used the loft, which was roomier than it looked in the pictures, and two shared the bed. The rooms are small, as the website says, but the whole place was VERY clean, including the linens and towels. The lobby fridge was spotless and had only one other item in it when I used it. There was complimentary coffee and cocoa, a Keurig, and a machine for still and sparkling water. The area felt safe and cute, and it’s close to the train station and Salem. I really enjoyed the stay and would come back.
