The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely organized, with a cozy mountain cabin feel. I stayed in a bungalow and love bungalows. The hot tub looked small in the photos, but it turned out to be quite big once I got in, though maybe I'm just small 😊. You can buy firewood for the fireplace for $15, which was a nice touch. Breakfast in the lobby was simple, with pastries, bagels, and similar items rather than a big spread with eggs, but that suited me fine. I was hoping to get coffee there, but the machines were out of order. We brought the food back to our nearby room and made coffee there, so it wasn't a big problem. Just sharing in case that's useful for your plans. Everything was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend the place. 🙏

I booked this for my girlfriend, and we had an amazing time. The jacuzzi was the best part, and the village with lots of stores is only about an eight-minute walk away. The front desk staff were extremely nice. Our room wasn't ready until 1, so we went downtown to sightsee before check-in. Experiences may differ, but to me it comes down to communication.

We stayed in the king suite in the main building, so I can't speak to the separate cabins. The location is hard to beat, and the recent renovations show. The lobby looks great, and the room was even better than expected, with a cool feel, a comfortable bed, a clean shower, and a hot tub we really needed. We'll definitely be back.

The room at The Burgundy formerly known as the Black Forest lodge was freshly renovated, cute, cozy, and very clean. It's within walking distance of town, and everyone was friendly. My favorite part was unwinding in the hot tub in our room after a day in Big Bear. The whole place felt warm and intimate, and the tub made the stay feel extra special. I'd definitely recommend it. 🙂

Josh and Jordan made us feel welcome from the start, and their helpful, thoughtful hospitality made the stay even better. In the family suite, the fireplace and jacuzzi in front of the TV, right in the bedroom, were perfect for relaxing after a long day. The room was cozy and had that warm mountain lodge feeling. The property has a heated spa, plenty of parking, and a free continental breakfast. I also loved the old-school Nintendo in the lobby, a fun throwback for kids and grown-ups. There's a fireplace made from an old recycled boat, too, a really creative detail. The village is within walking distance for shopping, dining, and exploring. We had a great experience at The Burgundy (formerly the Black Forest Lodge) and would definitely return. Cozy, unique, and full of character.
