While we were putting the kids to bed, we found mouse droppings on the beds and floors. The place was uninhabitable. I contacted Hotels.com right away about my booking, but they refused to take responsibility and relied on the property manager's refusal to refund us. Their customer service offered no acceptable solution, and I found their failure to make sure listed properties meet basic health and cleanliness standards appalling. I strongly advise against booking through Hotels.com. They seem to put profit ahead of customer well-being and leave customers on their own when a property falls short of basic standards.
