The ski-in, ski-out access made this trip for our group, and I doubt it's easy to find a cheaper place with this kind of mountain access. Our three-bedroom, three-bath condo was a little dated, but still really nice and comfortable for 6-8 people. We'd gladly stay again in Big Sky, and recommend it to smaller groups looking for an affordable ski-in, ski-out option.

The ski-in, ski-out access at Beaverhead Lodge, 106 Downhill, Unit 202 was excellent. The condo itself was a disappointment for the very high price, and feels like it dates to the mid-80s. The ice maker was broken, some kitchen cabinets were damaged, and the bunk bedroom shower door had come off its track. The vacuum seemed to spread more dust than it picked up, and a TV remote was missing. The tiled kitchen counters, with 4-inch-by-4-inch tiles and grout, were hard to clean. There was water mold damage on the bunk bathroom baseboards, and a broken pull cord on a bedroom side table. Lights in the third bedroom randomly went out at night. There was also a large buildup of ice at the bottom of the stairs leading to the garage, along with a few other issues. For what we paid, the unit should have been much better.

We liked the ski-in, ski-out location of Beaverhead building 106, unit 301, but the condo was in poor condition and very expensive for what it offered. The garage door was broken, the stairs were icy and unsafe, and the elevator was out, so we had to carry everything up three flights. Inside, the suite looked like it hadn't been updated since the mid-80s. It was dated and cluttered with oversized furniture that made the dining room difficult to use. The ceramic-tile counters were also hard to clean. During our stay, we needed repairs to the master shower, ice maker, and chandelier. I wouldn't recommend it as good value. Check photos carefully, since other units in the development may be in similar shape.

It's a beautiful, well-kept area, though it feels like a place the average Montanan can't afford.

Some of my favorite condos in Big Sky. The high natural-wood ceilings are lovely, and they're perched up high with a wide view around.
