Breakfast started our days off wonderfully, and our room was roomy, comfortable, and spotless. The quiet setting and scenery around Rainbow Ranch Lodge made the stay feel special, too. Dinner at Wild Caddis was a highlight. Chef Nick, who grew up in Montana and has a farming background, chatted with us about his path and how he thinks about food. Once he described his French onion soup, I had to try it. Best one I’ve ever eaten, hands down. The corn chowder, mushroom goat cheese wontons, beet and Caesar salads, huckleberry chicken, and short rib were all full of flavor and beautifully done. Everyone at the lodge was helpful and accommodating. Stephen behind the bar was fun to talk with, and the other bartender, whose name I’m sorry I’ve forgotten, made me a delicious huckleberry cocktail. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and views, it was a magical visit. We can’t wait to return. Five stars.

The view from this beautiful lodge was breathtaking, and the rooms had a cozy, rustic feel. Everyone on staff was friendly and ready to help. We’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend it.

Faith looked after us while my parents were visiting from out of town and made the evening feel so warm and special. The food was phenomenal, and my dad was raving about his dessert like a little kid. Thanks for everything. We’ll see you again!

A gorgeous spot near Big Sky, with the Gallatin River behind it and a little duck pond on the grounds. The rooms and bathrooms are huge. There are fireplaces indoors and outside, and breakfast buffet is included.

That bed was incredibly comfortable. The property itself is gorgeous, though being right on the main road means you hear traffic. Rooms are nicely equipped with a fridge and microwave, but the shower and sink could use renovation. Breakfast was great, though I’d swap out the coffee brand. Dinner was good too, but felt overpriced for the area.
