The rooms were fine, but I had trouble with the Wi-Fi. I travel a lot and game to pass the time, and it wouldn’t connect to my Xbox no matter what I tried. Maintenance had to hook up my HDMI cord for it. I also couldn’t connect my laptop because the Wi-Fi had no security, so be aware. I wish I’d picked a Best Western. I thought I was treating myself here, but I was wrong.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so the basics were okay. Still, some details seemed to have been missed, and the stay didn’t quite meet what I expected for the price. Nothing was awful, but it didn’t feel especially welcoming or memorable either. It was an okay visit, just not consistent or attentive enough to earn five stars.

The incidental hold is why I won’t come back. They charged $50 a night for my two-night stay, and said it would be released in 7 to 10 business days. After 13 business days, I’d called three times to speak with management. They said the hold was already released and told me to call my bank, but the bank says the issue is on the hotel’s end. So I’m out $100 for now, and that’s a lot of money to me. The manager’s suggestion was to use a credit card next time. What a joke. They don’t seem to care that it’s not their money, and I’ve lost respect for the whole place. I’m really disappointed and definitely won’t return. At the start, things seemed okay, though the bartender charged me more for a beer than the price on the board.

Really peaceful and quiet, and everything worked, including the pool. Prices were reasonable, check-in was quick, and the place was clean. The customer service was above and beyond. I think the guy who checked us in was named Nick. He was friendly, helpful, and very cordial, and everyone made us feel welcome. I love the Starbucks here and will stay again whenever I’m in town.
