The rooms were great, and the bathrooms were very clean. Breakfast had lots of hot choices and was delicious. I especially liked that they had gluten-free bagels and muffins for people sensitive to gluten, plus almond milk for those sensitive to lactose. I have no complaints and would really recommend staying here.

The new management hasn’t been great. They don’t treat the housekeepers fairly and aren’t good at training new ones. The previous manager was much better, but she’s since moved on to better opportunities.

This stay still comes back to me whenever I see the place. My family and I were moving to ND for the military, and after driving for days from California, we stopped here before the final eight-hour drive. We slept just a few hours, then hurried to pack up. I accidentally left my toiletry bag hanging behind the bathroom door. It held all my diamond and gold jewelry. We were so tired from the trip that I didn’t realize it was missing until two days later, when we started unpacking. I called the front desk and was told a brown bag with earrings had been found. The young woman said it was probably in the office, but the manager wasn’t there and she didn’t have a key. I felt relieved that it had turned up and was told to call the next day. When I spoke with the manager, she said nothing had been found and there was no record of anything from our room. I explained that the young woman had seen a note in their book and had described the color of the bag, but the manager denied it. I never got my jewelry back. It still hurts. Some pieces were gifts my grandmother bought me when I was a child, some came from my mother, and there was my daughter’s diamond and gold baptism jewelry. My husband had also bought me pieces for anniversaries and during his overseas travels for my daughter and me. All of it was stolen. I filed a police report over the phone with the Billings Police Department. They supposedly went to check, but nothing came of it. Eleven years later, I still wonder what happened to my jewelry.

We checked in online for the two-queen room with a sofa bed my husband had booked, and got an email confirming the check-in. At the hotel, the key cards didn’t work. When we finally got into the room, someone else’s belongings were inside. It took nearly an hour before they gave us a smaller room, with no explanation. Our kids were tired and hungry.
