Billings Hotel and Convention Center

The kids had a great time on the pool slides, and the staff were friendly. The hotel also has a good coffee shop. The room was a little dated. On the first night, neighbors knocked and banged on the wall twice when our kids came back from swimming. The second night was fine.

The kids liked the pool, but it was the coldest indoor pool I've ever been in. I wish I'd researched the place more before booking. The rooms are dated and worn, and there’s no continental breakfast. Their buffet, which is like an ordinary continental breakfast, costs $15 per person. There’s also a menu, but it’s very overpriced. For that breakfast price, you could eat at a really nice restaurant.

My son loved the pool and its slides. The building is old, though it’s clearly in the middle of updates. The beds seemed new, everything was very clean, and there were no unpleasant smells anywhere. My room was comfortable and spotless, with a very comfortable bed and plenty of counter space. There was a huge TV at the foot of the bed, though I don’t watch much TV, and they even had top-down/bottom-up blinds. Everyone I met, from the front desk to other workers, was friendly and helpful. I’d paid for two days I didn't end up needing, and they cheerfully refunded those days without me even having to ask.

The front desk and other staff were very friendly, but the property is run down and needs upgrades. There are newer, nicer places to stay in Billings. The coffee was dreadful. They put me in a room where a fan on the roof made a loud noise. Closing the bathroom door helped a little, but then the door locked from the inside and I had to call maintenance to get it open. I could also easily hear people in adjoining rooms.
