The free breakfast was the highlight, and the service was great. Our beds, though, were the most uncomfortable of the whole trip. The pool was out of order when we arrived, even though we’d chosen this hotel for the pool and hot tub after a long drive with the kids. Our rooms weren’t discounted, although they upgraded the kids’ family to a hot tub room. I felt every room should have had a discount because the amenities had changed.

We had a great time in the pool. My girls and their cousins loved the slide, and it wasn’t crowded even though it was the weekend. The free WiFi also stayed connected, which was nice. The hotel sits right behind the Circle K Convenience Store, and you have to cross its parking lot to get in. Odd setup, but handy for gas before getting back on the interstate, which is only two blocks away. There’s also good parking for shopping and pet stores nearby. The rooms and employees were great, respectful, and courteous. The queen beds seemed small to me, maybe because I’m used to a king, but they were comfortable, which isn’t common in hotels. We enjoyed the stay and may switch from our usual place.

My nieces came up from Wyoming and stayed here. I’m a little disabled right now, but managed the stairs easily. I appreciated the wide steps, which are easier for us older folks. The young man at the front desk wasn’t friendly at all. Anyone dealing with the public should be welcoming, cordial, and courteous, so they should move him to another area or let him go. Aside from that, I didn’t think the place was bad.

My mother and sister asked about the laundry room and buying detergent, and were treated like they were a bother. The gray-haired woman at the front desk saw them and, in a snarky voice, asked, “What do you want?” and “What is it now?” She was anything but hospitable or professional. I know this isn’t the Hilton, but the person at the desk is the welcoming face of the hotel, and this kind of treatment won’t bring people back. Do better.
