Baymont by Wyndham Biloxi/Ocean Springs

The room did what I needed: a place to sleep and shower. It's also well located for I-10 and a fairly quick trip to Highway 90. Staff were friendly and brought me things when I asked. It was relatively quiet during my stay, with simple breakfast and coffee each morning, and a Waffle House next door if you want something else. The AC took a bit to catch up, presumably because the room had been unoccupied, but then worked extremely well. The main issue was cleanliness. I knew this was a budget hotel and wasn't expecting anything grand, but I do expect a basic level of clean, and that was barely there. I was in a downstairs room that needed a serious deep clean, not just a rushed turnover. The sheets were stained, and there was hair on the bed linens and towels, though nothing suggested the room had been used without cleaning. The vinyl plank floor didn't look clean, so I went to a local dollar store for all-purpose cleaner to have a clean place to stand at the sink. What came off with a quick brush was shocking. That buildup looked like months without an occasional deep clean, not something that happened overnight or in a week. The tub and tiled bathroom floor, on the other hand, had no buildup, so credit to the staff for that. The morning after my first night, I asked the receptionist to request a "good cleaning." When I returned on day two, the bed linens had been changed and fresh towels were there, but the floor hadn't been mopped. I wouldn't expect floor mopping during a multi-day stay anyway. Based on this experience, I'd hesitate to choose the hotel again.

Check-in and checkout were very easy. The room was clean and had good amenities for the price. The area was mostly quiet apart from traffic on the main road. Breakfast was clean and offered plenty of choices for a small meal, including pancakes. I'd highly recommend it for the money.

The hotel is nice, affordable, and in a good location. The bed was comfortable, everything worked properly, and I was glad the room still had a TV and refrigerator. Check-in went smoothly, and meeting Jay at the front desk made me feel even more at ease. He was welcoming, friendly and professional. He's amazing, and I think others will be pleased to meet him too. If you want a clean, nice hotel with friendly people, go ahead and book. I'll make future reservations at Baymont when I visit the coast again. Thanks for such a great experience, Baymont!

For an affordable overnight stay, the room was clean, comfortable and well worth the price. The free breakfast was better than most I've had at this type of motel. You can tell they put effort into providing good service.
