Biloxi Beach Hotel

No real problems, except our room only had a shower, no bath. The room attendant came in just after we left for breakfast, even though checkout wasn’t until 11. I asked if she just walked into rooms while guests were still checked in. She went inside and shut our door, so we decided to check out then.

The room was huge, clean, and safe, and I didn’t see any bugs. I slept so well I had to come back and say so. The bed was enormous and great, and the big bathroom was ready for a nice hot bubble bath. The guy at the desk was very polite. I understand the deposit, since people who steal towels or bedding or damage things affect everyone. It’s not the Hilton, but it works for me, and I have no complaints. I’d stay here again if I’m back.

The convenient location is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. It used to be apartments, and the rooms face either the parking lot or a shared area where people keep walking past the ground-floor rooms. The bed was hard and squeaky. I asked about guest laundry and was told there was some, but it’s outside and completely exposed to people driving through the lot. There was no cold water in the room. After walking on the beach, I wanted a cool shower, but both taps ran hot, so I had to sponge bathe. I planned two nights and left after one. I’m not sure when it became a hotel, but in my opinion it wasn’t ready for guests. I think I’ve rated it before and don’t know why I’m being asked again, maybe because my earlier rating wasn’t good.

There wasn’t even a sign outside with the facility’s name, and when I called several times because I couldn’t find it, the man who answered was rude and hung up on me. At check-in, he said the pet deposit was nonrefundable, although the website and booking.com say it’s refundable. Our dresser had wet towels in it, so I went to the desk for clean ones. Every lamp was unplugged, leaving the room dark, and the microwave was filthy and broken. They said maintenance would come when I asked about it, but with so many empty rooms they could have switched it out, and they refused. The key card failed about half the time, which meant more trips to the desk. There were wet patches in the carpet too. This was the worst experience I’ve had. When I call the front desk, no one answers until I’ve called three times.
