Econo Lodge Biloxi Beach

Coming from a hotel GM, I'm very pleased with this room. I didn't expect much from an Econolodge since I usually stay at more luxurious hotels, but it really impressed me. The rooms are beautiful, fully remodeled, and extremely clean, and the location is great with the beach right across the street. The staff were very polite. We'll definitely stay again.

The newness even has a pleasant smell, and the beds are brand new and very comfortable. There are beautiful new 43-inch TVs too. I can't believe this is the old Broadway Inn. They've done a magnificent job with the place. The location is good, the rooms are nice and clean, and the rates are excellent. The owner, his wife, and their 18-year-old son who helps run it are all extremely friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable room. You can't go wrong staying here.

For $60 USD a night at an Econolodge, rather than a Marriott, I think four stars is fair. The room was incredibly clean, the bed was super comfortable, and it looks newly renovated. The staff weren't the friendliest, though. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear a neighboring room's TV loudly, and even make out every word people say. The seal around the door is poor too, letting in lots of light, noise, and air. In mid-January, that meant a very cold draft.

Everything seemed clean and fresh, from the rooms to the painted parking lot, and the staff were warm and eager to make the stay pleasant. The rates are very reasonable. The Gulf is right across the street, Walmart is a few minutes' walk away, and IHOP is right across the street too. This place is underrated. I'd recommend it for either a business or leisure stay.
