Flamingo Beach Inn

The room was disgusting from top to bottom. Even the towels and washcloths were dirty, and the walls looked like they hadn't been wiped down. The air conditioner screamed so loudly that we kept switching it off to avoid going crazy and lashing out at it. They charged $60 plus another $10 in case of room damage, and I don't know what I should get back after being given such a gross room. They could at least have cleaned the toilet.

My fiancée and I checked out and left right away. We took a quick shower after getting into the room, then looked around more closely and found mold in the corners, missing lampshades, stained sheets, holes in the comforter, and bedbugs. The room also smelled like smoke. This place was nasty. Don't stay here.

The room smelled awful, and the owner or manager was very rude. They charged me double for the pet deposit and had no ashtrays to give us. Staff were banging on my door at 2 a.m. asking for cigarettes. When I asked for clean bedsheets, they said I had to stay more than four days to get them. They also claim online to have a pool, but there's no pool. It was the most horrible place I've ever stayed.

We've made this our regular place for years and will keep staying here when we visit or vacation. The owners are nice and always wave or say hello when they see us. Prices are predictable, only rising on weekends to around $75 a night, which is still cheap for the location. The office is always unlocked when I've gone in, with coffee ready. Rooms are clean, the TV works great, and the heating and AC work like new. There's always been clean bedding and towels, and we've never had a bad experience with the staff.
