Hampton Inn Biloxi MS

The mold smell throughout this hotel is overwhelming and concerning. Our first room was covered in mold and had no working air-conditioning. In the second, I personally emptied two standalone dehumidifiers. My wife and I won't stay here again, and I wouldn't bring a child with respiratory issues here. We had a good experience when we stayed for the first time nine years ago, but under the current management it seems to have turned into a low-rent motel.

I travel often for work and I'm a Hilton Honors member, so I was really disappointed by how this went. I'd requested a late checkout at the front desk, an hour past the usual time. On checkout day, after 11:00 P.M., the maids on my floor questioned and harassed me because their clipboard didn't show it. I explained where I'd made the request, but they kept grilling me and called the front desk manager, who confirmed I was right. Even after that, they stayed loud and boisterous, as though we were overstaying our welcome. I won't stay at another Hilton-affiliated hotel.

After we'd been on the road for hours, there was a mix-up with our reservation and special request. Manager Ms. A.R., along with the overnight and morning staff, handled it with patience and understanding. They were professional, efficient, and kind, and made sure everything got sorted out smoothly. Their customer service really stood out and made all the difference to our stay.

It's a good hotel, but the WiFi is SOOOOOO BAD. If you're traveling for work and need to use a computer, bring your own connection. I couldn't do reports, approve timesheets, or get anything else computer-related done. Really frustrating.
